The Planning Division of the Ministry of Planning, Government of Bangladesh, has attached priority to enhancing the quality of Project Preparation, Processing, Monitoring & Evaluation through study tours. The study tour is aimed at improving individual skills, ability and knowledge of Monitoring & Evaluation function, application design of project proposals, enhancing transparency, participation, preparation of M & E reports, implementation schedules, financial progress, achieving sustainable development and situation analysis. These are the main features of project planning in Bangladesh under the ‘Capacity Enhancement of NEC-ECNEC & Coordination Wing by Introducing Digital Data Base and Archive System’ project.
The study tour on ‘Digital Documentation and Archive System in Australia and New Zealand’ took place during 17-27 May 2017. There were 06 (six) participants headed by Mr. Ziaul Islam, Secretary of Planning Division in the program. The program was conducted by Information Leadership in Wellington, New Zealand, and the National Archives of Australia, National Office, Canberra, Australia. The MTI managed and coordinated the program successfully.
