Bangladesh has been making transformational changes in the public procurement environment with the involvement of ICT infrastructures since 2011. A national e-Government Procurement (e-GP) portal of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh is developed, owned and being operated by the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU), IME division of Ministry of Planning.
In fiscal year 2016-17 CPTU has designed study tour program on e-GP System in Turkey. A team of 10 Members headed by Mr. Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary of IMED were attended a study tour program from 15-21 January 2018. Public Procurement Authority of Republic of Turkey were conducted the study tour program. During visit delegates discussed with the Public Procurement Authorities on better electronic Public Procurement Systems in Turkey and the meeting were held in Electronic Procurement Research & Development Center, Ankara, Turkey.
Overall arrangement & management was very good. The preparatory booklet was informative. The representative from MTI was very supportive & helpful.
