Training on Public Procurement Management

Strengthening Government through Capacity Development of the BCS Cadre Officials Project 

Ministry of Public Administration strives to provide better services to the people through overall personnel management in public administration of the country. As a part of this endeavour, a 15-day training program was organized for the joint secretary-level officers of Bangladesh Civil Service. MTI was selected to manage the overseas short training program on Public Procurement Management under the aforementioned project FY (2014-15) for 100 Joint Secretary/ equivalent Government Officers in three (03) batches, for 15 days, in collaboration with the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO), Turin, Italy. 

The International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO) had the privilege to co-organize with MTI training programs for 100 high-ranking government officials in three batches. As a result of the project office’s readiness and interactivity, enthusiastic cooperation from participants, promised and heartfelt availability of MTI and the invaluable presence of Ms. Ismat Ara Sadique, Hon’ble State Minister, the training programs were dynamic and fruitful.

There were colourful inaugural sessions for all the 3 batches. Greetings were exchanged with the resource-persons, and coordination team-members. Mr. Ralf Krüger, Program Coordination Manager, Sustainable Development Program of Turin Development School, ITC-ILO was introduced to all the batches along with program assistant Ms. Yuliya Dzhulyk.
