CBHC Strengthens Primary Healthcare Strategies with Training in China, Philippines & Vietnam

Community Based Health Care (CBHC) is the cornerstone of Bangladesh's primary healthcare delivery system, bringing essential services to the doorsteps of millions. To fortify this critical program, CBHC officials engaged in a series of international training and study tours to learn from the successful models of other Asian countries. Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. was proud to manage these initiatives, which focused on key aspects of community health management and policy.

In China, a delegation attended a "Training on Planning & Management of Community Health Worker" from July 30 to August 05, 2018. This program offered deep insights into China's highly effective system for managing a vast network of community health workers, covering topics like training, deployment, performance monitoring, and motivation.

Another crucial program, "Training on Social Determinants of Health," was held in the Philippines from July 8-14, 2018. Participants explored how factors like education, economic stability, and environment impact health outcomes, learning how to integrate these social determinants into holistic community health planning.

Earlier in the year, officials traveled to Vietnam for a "Training on Stakeholder Participants on Primary Health Care" from April 24-30, 2018. This training emphasized the importance of collaboration between government bodies, NGOs, and local communities, showcasing Vietnam's successful strategies for ensuring comprehensive stakeholder engagement in primary healthcare delivery.

These international learning experiences, meticulously organized by MTI Ltd., have equipped CBHC officials with diverse perspectives and practical tools. The knowledge acquired from these programs is instrumental in refining strategies, improving service delivery, and ultimately strengthening the foundation of community-based healthcare in Bangladesh.
