Empowering Digital Future: Advanced ICT Training for Trainers at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati

To accelerate the realization of 'Smart Bangladesh' and foster a robust digital ecosystem, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division initiated the ‘Establishment of Bangladesh-Bharat Digital Service & Employment Training’ (BDSET) project. As a trusted partner in capacity development, Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. successfully managed a high-level 'Training of Trainers' (ToT) program at two of India's premier engineering institutes: IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati.

Mastering Frontier Technologies

The program was meticulously designed to equip Bangladeshi IT professionals and trainers with cutting-edge skills in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. Held at the prestigious Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Guwahati, the curriculum covered advanced topics including Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security, and Software Engineering.

Participants engaged in rigorous academic sessions that blended theoretical foundations with practical application. The training aimed to create a pool of master trainers capable of disseminating this advanced knowledge within Bangladesh, thereby creating a multiplier effect on the nation's technical workforce.

Hands-on Learning and Innovation

A highlight of the tour was the emphasis on practical exposure. The delegation utilized state-of-the-art laboratories to experiment with Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) systems, gaining first-hand experience with the hardware and software driving the global tech industry. These immersive sessions at the Takshashila complex and other specialized labs provided insights into modern pedagogical methods for technical education.

Cultural Exchange and Strategic Partnership

Beyond the classroom, the program fostered deep cultural and professional ties between Bangladesh and India. The delegation visited iconic historical sites, including the Taj Mahal, and explored the scenic landscapes surrounding the campuses. These excursions provided a holistic experience, strengthening the camaraderie among the participants and their Indian counterparts.
