ICTD Secretary Leads Delegation to International Computer Science Conference in Canada
Ensuring that Bangladesh remains at the forefront of global technological discourse, the Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) participated in a key international academic forum. Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. successfully managed the participation of a high-level delegation in the 9th International Conference on Environment and Computer Science (ICECS-2016) in Canada.
From September 22-28, 2016, a three-member team, led by the then-Secretary of the ICT Division, Mr. Shyam Sunder Sikder, attended the conference. This important event, organized in collaboration with Seneca College in Toronto, brought together global experts to discuss the critical intersection of technology and environmental sustainability.
The participation was not merely observational; it was an opportunity to showcase Bangladesh's own remarkable progress. In a key session, Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder delivered a presentation on the achievements and future vision of the ICT Division, sharing the story of 'Digital Bangladesh' with an international audience of academics and policymakers.
The program, facilitated at the esteemed Seneca College, also provided insights into Canada's advanced ICT education and research ecosystem. This strategic engagement allowed for high-level networking and knowledge exchange, reinforcing Bangladesh's commitment to leveraging technology for sustainable national development.
