Strengthening Global Health Partnerships: MTI Facilitates High-Level MoHFW Delegation Visit to the USA

As part of our long-standing commitment to enhancing Bangladesh's public health sector, MTI Ltd. successfully managed a high-profile international study tour for a distinguished delegation from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). The tour included visits to world-renowned public health authorities and medical institutions in the United States.

Strategic Engagements in New York

The delegation, which included Mr. Zahid Maleque, Honourable State Minister of MoHFW, and Mr. Sheikh F K Selim, MP and Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the MoHFW, engaged in several key meetings in New York City. These visits were designed to foster collaboration and share insights on public health management and hospital administration.

A pivotal meeting was held at the headquarters of Bloomberg Philanthropies, a global leader in public health initiatives. Discussions focused on potential partnerships and strategies for tackling pressing health challenges in Bangladesh.

The delegation also visited the historic Bellevue Hospital, the oldest public hospital in the United States, to observe its operations, patient care models, and emergency response systems firsthand.

The tour continued to Baltimore, where the delegation was hosted by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the #1 ranked public health school in the world. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with leading academics and researchers in the field.
