Ministry of Health Explores Global Best Practices in Health System Strengthening and Programme Management

To enhance the capacity and strategic oversight of Bangladesh's health sector, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) initiated two pivotal international learning programs. These programs were designed to expose high-level officials to global best practices in health system management and program monitoring. Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. was entrusted with the comprehensive management and execution of these vital study tours to Canada and Malaysia.

The first program, an "Exposure Visit on Health System Strengthening," took a delegation to Canada from April 25 to May 04, 2018. This tour provided an invaluable opportunity for the officials to observe and learn from Canada's renowned healthcare system. The participants gained deep insights into policy formulation, service delivery models, and innovative approaches to public health management, which are crucial for strengthening Bangladesh's own health infrastructure.

Concurrently, a second delegation participated in a "Training on Programme Management and Monitoring" in Malaysia from April 23 to May 02, 2018. This hands-on training focused on equipping the officials from the Sector Wide Program Management & Monitoring (Planning Wings) with advanced skills and methodologies. The curriculum covered modern tools and techniques for effective planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale health programs, aiming to improve efficiency and accountability within the ministry.

MTI Ltd.'s meticulous planning and coordination ensured that both programs were executed flawlessly, providing a rich and impactful learning environment for all participants. By facilitating these strategic international collaborations, MTI is proud to contribute to the ongoing efforts to build a more robust, efficient, and responsive health system for the people of Bangladesh.
