Inspiring a New Generation: MTI Facilitates MoLWA Study Tours to Russia and Sri Lanka

A core mission of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs (MoLWA) is to ensure that the spirit of the 1971 Liberation War inspires future generations. To support the project ‘Motivate the New Generation in the Spirit of Liberation War,’ MTI Ltd. organized a series of impactful international exposure visits. These programs allowed officials to study how other nations preserve the memory of their historical conflicts and honor the roles of both military and civilian participants.

Learning from Russia's Epic Narrative

One key visit took officials to Moscow's Museum of the Great Patriotic War, a monumental institution that tells the epic story of the Soviet Union's struggle during World War II. By studying the museum's powerful exhibits and grand-scale storytelling, the delegation gained profound insights into creating engaging and educational narratives that can captivate a new generation and convey the immense sacrifices made for national freedom.

Studying Civil Defence and National Resilience in Sri Lanka

Building on historical perspectives, MTI Ltd. organized a focused exposure visit to Sri Lanka for a seven-member delegation. This program delved into the institutional frameworks of national service and defence. The participants visited Sri Lanka's Ministry of Defence to understand its high-level strategic operations.

A central part of the visit was an in-depth discussion session at Sri Lanka's Department of Civil Defence. The delegation learned about the crucial role the department plays in national security, disaster response, and engaging citizens in the nation's welfare, both during and after conflict. This provided a valuable model for how to frame and honor the contributions of civilian forces in Bangladesh's own history.

By studying both the narrative power of museums and the institutional structure of civil defence, the MoLWA delegation gathered comprehensive knowledge.
