Training Program on Professional Development

As part of the continuous effort to build a skilled and modern civil service, Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. collaborated on an impactful professional development program for mid-career government officials. This initiative was organized under the Government of Bangladesh's flagship project, ‘Strengthening Government through Capacity Development of the BCS Cadre Officials,’ implemented by the Ministry of Public Administration (MoPA).

The program was specifically designed for Deputy Secretaries and equivalent officers of the Government of Bangladesh. Held at the prestigious Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), the training provided an invaluable platform for regional learning and knowledge exchange. MTI, along with its associate firm Siam Health Care (SHC), partnered with SLIDA to implement the program for three batches of officials.

The curriculum was centered around a series of curated study tours, offering participants firsthand exposure to Sri Lanka's public administration system, development models, and best practices. This experiential learning approach was instrumental in broadening the officials' perspectives and equipping them with innovative ideas to apply within their respective roles in Bangladesh.

The collaboration fostered a rich environment for cross-cultural dialogue and strengthened bilateral ties between the civil services of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. MTI’s role in coordinating and managing the logistics ensured a smooth and enriching experience for all participants. This program stands as a prime example of successful South-South cooperation in public sector capacity building, contributing directly to the professional growth of the nation's future administrative leaders.
