Ministry of Road Transport Officials Study European Highway Systems

To benchmark Bangladesh's rapidly expanding road network against the world's most advanced systems, Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. organized a comprehensive international study tour for key officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges. The program focused on observing state-of-the-art highway infrastructure and traffic management systems across Europe.

A team of ten officials attended the program from August 1-9, 2017. The core program was hosted by the esteemed Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure in Germany, providing a foundational understanding of the engineering and policy excellence behind the famed Autobahn system.

The experiential learning journey extended beyond Germany, with curated visits to France, Switzerland, Austria, and Greece. This multi-country approach provided a panoramic view of diverse engineering solutions, traffic control technologies, and road safety protocols adapted to various geographic and economic contexts. The delegation had the opportunity to observe firsthand the seamless integration of modern highways and transport infrastructure that facilitates efficient trade and travel across the continent.

The program's success was highlighted by the participants, who found the arrangements and content to be exceptional, contributing to both professional development and international relations.

The visit proved to be a milestone in forging friendship between the two friendly countries. Everything was very well-organized, fully credible and acceptable.
