IMED Enhances M&E Capacity with Training in Khulna and Sundarbans Visit
A 27-member team of officials and staff from the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) successfully completed an intensive five-day residential training program in Khulna from October 24-28, 2024. This marked the eighth training batch under the "Capacity Enhancement for Effective Practice of Result Based M&E System in IMED (CEEPRM & ESI) (1st Revised)" project.
The program was honored by the presence of Honorable Secretary of IMED, Mr. Abul Kashem Md. Mohiuddin, who served as the Chief Guest and lead trainer. His active involvement underscored the division's commitment to continuous professional development. Under the leadership of Project Director Mr. Muhammad Mashiur Rahman, the training featured a robust curriculum covering project monitoring, results-based evaluation, and the integration of modern ICT tools to enhance project oversight and transparency.

The immersive residential format provided an excellent platform for both skill enhancement and team building. Beyond the intensive academic sessions, the program included a memorable educational field visit to the majestic Sundarbans, the world's largest mangrove forest. Participants explored the Karamjal eco-tourism center, gaining a deeper appreciation for the nation's natural heritage while fostering camaraderie.

The training concluded with a formal certificate awarding ceremony, celebrating the participants' dedication and successful completion of the course. This initiative marks another significant milestone in IMED’s commitment to building a highly skilled and efficient workforce, ensuring accountability and excellence in public project implementation across Bangladesh.
