IMED Hosts Unique Capacity Building Training on St. Martin's Island

In a unique initiative, a 27-member team of officials and staff from the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) successfully completed a five-day residential training program on the scenic St. Martin's Island. Held from January 16-20, 2025, this was the 12th training batch under the "Capacity Enhancement for Effective Practice of Result Based M&E System in IMED (CEEPRM & ESI) (1st Revised)" project.

The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Sitara Begum, Secretary (Routine Duty) of IMED, who served as the Chief Guest and lead trainer. Her active participation and guidance were instrumental to the program's success. The training, chaired by Project Director Mr. Muhammad Mashiur Rahman, featured a comprehensive curriculum on project monitoring, evaluation methodologies, and ICT applications designed to strengthen national project oversight.

The immersive residential format at the Blue Marine Resort provided an inspiring learning environment. The unique backdrop of Bangladesh's only coral island fostered exceptional collaboration and team spirit. The program was highly interactive, with participants actively sharing their experiences and insights, which enriched the learning process for everyone involved.

The training concluded with a formal certificate awarding ceremony, celebrating the participants' dedication and newly acquired skills. This distinctive initiative not only enhanced professional capacities but also created a memorable experience, reinforcing IMED’s commitment to innovative approaches in building a skilled workforce for national development.
