Enhancing Government Efficiency: MTI Conducts Key Administrative Training for IMED in Cox’s Bazar

Efficient public administration is the bedrock of effective governance and successful project implementation. Recognizing this, the Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning designed a crucial training program under the ‘Strengthening Monitoring and Evaluation Capabilities of IMED (SMECI) (2nd Revised)’ project. MTI Ltd. was proud to execute this large-scale initiative, training 140 officials in three batches.

Building Core Administrative Competencies

Held in the focused learning environment of Cox's Bazar, the training on ‘Office Management, File Management and Online PMIS Software’ was designed to equip government officials with the foundational skills needed for a modern, digital-first workplace. The core objectives were to:

• Develop Systematic Office Procedures: Create and apply checklists and systems to ensure the smooth, efficient running of a government office.
• Effective Workload Management: Apply modern techniques to plan and manage workloads effectively to achieve departmental objectives.
• Modernize Record and File Management: Implement best practices for the management of semi-active records, including proper storage, inventories, and scheduling.
• Master the Online PMIS Software: Understand the methodical process of using the Project Management Information System (PMIS) for collecting, analyzing, and reporting project information.

A Phased Approach for Maximum Impact

To ensure personalized attention and effective learning, the program was rolled out in phases. The first batch of 40 trainees convened at the Royal Beach Resort, followed by a second batch of 60 trainees at the Galaxy Resort Limited. This multi-batch approach allowed for intensive, hands-on training tailored to the needs of the participants.
