Strengthening Urban Healthcare Delivery Through Advanced RBM Training

MTI Ltd. recently conducted a vital five-day training course on Results-Based Management (RBM) and Budgeting for officials of the Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project – Additional Financing (UPHCSDP-AF). This initiative is designed to strengthen institutional capacity for delivering sustainable and pro-poor urban health services across Bangladesh through innovative Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

The training aimed to equip UPHCSDP-II officials with the skills to drive significant performance improvements. Using a dynamic blend of lectures, brainstorming, role-playing, and group work, the program focused on enhancing strategic planning, operational efficiency, and career development. Participants were provided with comprehensive modules to ensure the practical application of learned principles.

The curriculum covered a wide range of critical topics essential for modern project management. Key areas included advanced financial management, such as the Integrated Budget and Accounting System (IBAS++), Medium-Term Budgetary Frameworks (MTBF), and VAT regulations. Additionally, the training explored performance enhancement tools like Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), strategic human resource management, and alignment with IMED's national reporting systems. By bridging theory with practice, the training empowers officials to effectively manage resources, monitor outcomes, and ultimately contribute to the success of this vital national health project.
