PMP Training Begins: MTI Ltd. Launches 5-Day Professional Certification Program for 46 a2i Officials
Management and Training International (MTI) Ltd. inaugurated the Professional Certification Program — Training on Project Management Professional (PMP) on 02 May 2026 at the a2i Meeting Room, 13th Floor, ICT Tower, Agargaon, Dhaka. Forty-six senior consultants and officials of the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme of the Information and Communication Technology Division began their journey toward the globally recognised PMI® credential under the guidance of master trainer Md. Mosta Gausul Hoque, PMP, former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh.
About the engagement: Under the assignment "Hiring a Consulting Firm for Project Implementation Support at a2i", MTI Ltd. is responsible for organising the full PMP capacity-building track for the Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme of the Information and Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
Inauguration & Project Leadership
The opening day was graced by the senior leadership of the a2i Programme. Md. Abdur Rofiq, Project Director (Additional Secretary), Aspire to Innovate (a2i), and Md. Rashidul Mannaf Kabir, Joint Project Director (Joint Secretary), were present throughout the inaugural session. They reaffirmed a2i's commitment to building a cadre of internationally certified project managers capable of delivering large-scale digital public services with the rigour and discipline required by modern public-sector portfolio management.

Day 1 — Lesson 1: Introduction
Day 1 covered Lesson 1: Introduction of the PMI® Authorized PMP Exam Prep (Version 3.0) curriculum. The session set the foundation by walking the cohort through what to expect from the course and what the certification itself signifies.
- About the instructor — practitioner credentials and how the sessions will be facilitated.
- About the course — the nine-lesson PMI® curriculum, its alignment with the Exam Content Outline (ECO), and the use of predictive, agile and hybrid life-cycle icons throughout the materials.
- About the PMP® certification — global recognition, what it proves about a project manager, and why it is increasingly mandatory for senior project leadership roles.
- About the exam — structure (180 questions, 240 minutes, 10 unscored pretest items), scoring, pacing, breaks and the eight question formats.
- Bangladesh perspective — the trainer contextualised every PMI® concept for the Bangladesh public-sector reality, including DPP, RDPP, ECNEC approval workflow, GoB procurement (PPR & PPA) and IMED-driven project monitoring.
